help needed with a kanji character on good luck flag

a big thanks to you all for helping me with translations in the past! can I ask for some help with this little nut cracker please??

 

a small character on a good luck flag I can find in my books or on the kanji pages either

加 Kuwa-eru or kuwa-waru as the verb, various meanings one of which is Canada. add, addition, include, increase, join.

Hamish it could also be a name such as kato it depends what's below.

The writing on the side is an address or address.

Heres the whole, I was translating it as a name,

加藤通一 Kato Michikazu, seeing the whole makes a difference. John

I think it is Kato Shin'ichi...進一

Large kanji reads :- kato shin ichi

Hamish kanji has various readings on their own and with other kanji.

Your also not Japanese so don't bash yourself too hard.

You got fuji etc it was just the other reading.

I like your posts,stick with the kanji and keep posting.

I will keep trying to translate Japanese kanji, (with limited accuracy) and any and all help will be welcome and appreciated.
