Type99 Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 At first glance the blade appears to be traditional made with the wild Harmon, but I'm not to sure one of the markings by itself looks like it maybe a arsenal mark. Anyhow any information on this sword would be appreciated. Quote
Grey Doffin Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Seki arsenal stamp. Not traditionally made. Grey Quote
Daniel Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Hi Dow If the Hamon is "wild" or not doesn't tell if it's traditionally or not, the Hataraki within the Hamon and the Hada if any does. Since this blade has a Seki stamp we can be sure it's a Showato and not Gendaito. Nevertheless I think you have a nice clean Kai-gunto there. Best Regards Daniel Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 I don't see any indications that this is gendaito (hada, activity in the hamon (hataraki)). Looks to be showato Quote
cabowen Posted July 4, 2014 Report Posted July 4, 2014 Typical showa-to, Yoshishige I believe....良重 Quote
