tokashikibob Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Gentlemen, An odd piece here that has been chromed, looks like a cut down older blade but has a arsenal stamp of some kind. Why? Also, Would a togishi be able to put this right if warrented? Have not got it yet but thinking about it for the right price. Best Regards, Bob Quote
Stephen Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 IMHO that would be a waste of money, take it to a plating shop if you have too, thell de crome it, that will remove any patina that may have been on the nakago. with the seki stamp, not even worth that. Quote
Brian Posted June 27, 2014 Report Posted June 27, 2014 Think that's a Seki arsenal stamp. Not worth the restoration. Chrome can be undone, but the underlying surface is changed and needs extensive work. On an arsenal blade, nope. Brian Quote
tokashikibob Posted June 27, 2014 Author Report Posted June 27, 2014 Thanks fellas, that was a poor stamping just wanted to make sure I wasn't letting something walk that was worth saving. Quote
Darcy Posted June 29, 2014 Report Posted June 29, 2014 He sure did fix that sword up good. Nice and snazzy. Quote
