tokashikibob Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Gentlemen, I won these dragon menuki on ebay recently and would like to use them on either a Kabun Wakazashi or katana that need fittings and tsuka repair. Is there a proper way to clean the menuki? Dish soap and toothbrush? Best Regards, Bob Quote
b.hennick Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 I use foam soap - made for kids. I also use a used toothbrush. I want it soft and so that it will do no damage. Dry completely when done. Quote

nagamaki - Franco Posted May 31, 2014 Report Posted May 31, 2014 While cleaning menuki of dirt, grime, and more that is not supposed to be on them is fine and acceptable when done with care, it should be noted and kept in mind that it is not desirable to clean the 'good' out of them, over clean.
