I find the koshirae more interesting than the blade....the blade strikes me as nothing special. Screaming deal? not to me, but then I collect taisho/early showa blades, so what do I know? :dunno:

I used to play the game of "find the issues" with this seller. Chris, you are correct that the grain is not up to his standards. The blade is also very short (only 60 cm, barely more than a wakizashi). The "ohada" is bordering on too wide, and the sanbonsugi hamon doesn't appear to be very prominent (though this may be the photos rather than the polish or the construction. Just a few thoughts.

According to paper it is a wakizashi even if it used to be a Katana. The seller avoided to mention this.

Price definitely too steep.

I can barely see a thing, let alone the grain besides prominent rough hada. Not sure how you're able to. Looks like bad polishing to me.
