Thought id throw this out to see what the group does if they do saya touch ups, just had the kurikata fixed on one. Not being able to have a complete retro im thinking about filling in some dents and chips with some type of filler then spray lacquer with this http://www.ebay.com/itm/231077915502#ht_168wt_892

question is would use some wood type filler / putty or some type of bondo?

looking for recommendations, also what you think of paint in link.

In the past I have used car body filler to fill in dents / seam gaps and even the black spray cans to finish off

If I need to do a real good job then I take to work and use a 2 pack finish on them in Matthew or gloss depending on what I want

But I am a professional car refinisher by trade

There is a filler that is urushi based ( you can make your own with clear) and relatively non-toxic urushi available that I would rather see used. Testors famous for modelers paints is soft, but, just for show would do. I wonder if it would satisfy you in the long haul. The low-allergenic urushi is available from http://www.mejiro-Japan.com John

I would think twice about usng that. It isn't paint, and doesn't dry like paint. I seem to recall someone telling me it needs humidity to cure?

:dunno:

They also say it contains no added toxic chemicals. Nothing about any naturally occurring ones :D
