Soshin Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Hi Harvey G., Shimizu/Jingo tsuba copies are very popular from the late Edo Period up until and including the Heisei Period. The use of power tools indicate that the tsuba was not traditionally made which means it is more then just a copy but a low cost/quality reproduction. I seen more and more of this on eBay lately. The color of the tsuba looks strange but that might just be how the photos are taken. Quote
