interesting blade with Generals tassel

currently there is an interesting blade on eBay with a Generals tassel:

Any comments would be very apprectiated.

As this is a running auction and as I have no intention to buy this blade, of course I can wait until the auction is over.

Is the Sa n gold or just painted on? looks older bizen blade, but remember it is being bought out of hand.

Interesting to see how well the auction will do. That word "Sa" sure gets a lot of people jumping, doesn't it?

I think that to some extent this may have been rather gunto collectors who have driven the price up. General's tassel, ancestral blade etc.

 

Have you seen the "q&a about this item"? One of them refers to potential value, a crude attempt to drive the price up. The story about the father who has hidden his treasure beneath the floor boards... Not exactly credible. I have the feeling that there is some shill bidding going on here.

BTW, the "kinpun mei" is painted with goldpaint and crude.

The Generals Tassel was also an obvious reproduction, this can be confirmed by the loose weave of the crowns that sit above the tassels.
