Tsuka replacement, or rehabilitation Tsuka?

Guys, I want to hear your opinion.

Tsuka from my Katana WW2 Type3 is this:

A professional make new Ito, change the old Silk with a new one and make some small retouches for $ 200.00

I have found to buy this Tsuka with Tsuba and Seppa for $ 300.00.There is burlap under the tsuka-ito not rayskin.

That is:

But there is a problem: the last hole does not match the hole at Nakago.

I ask because you do not know what to do:to recondition my Tsuba, or buy tsuba and fittings in the picture, but you have to make a new hole in Nakago?

Thanks.

Greetings to all.

P.S.I do not know why not download pictures.I tried to download the pictures again, later.Still, I expect your opinion.

Thanks for understanding.

Hello Gheorge, please DONT make a new hole in nakago, bad idea. Keep your blade original, "rehabilitate", as you say is the best option, but only if really necessary. Buying a used tsuka to match a blade is not the way to go, likely a bad fit.

Hi Gheorghe, id be surprised if the guy said he can use it. You have two options, leave it as it is and save your money, or new ito/same. Id be tempted to leave it as it is.

Yes..they will always use new silk. You cannot use old tsuka-ito.

Let him go ahead. Old tsuka done with new silk. It will be fine if he matches the colour.
