Brian Hancock Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 Hi Jock,I have a sword by Ujifusa. I got it from a friend of a friend.I swopped it for a P38 pistol and I know who came out of that one best! It originally came from Bill Tagg of Liverpool Militaria who is well known for his honesty in dealing with Japanese swords. If you let me have your e-mail address I will send you a scan of the signature.Sort of you show me yours and I'll show you mine. My e-mail brian.hancock4@ntlworld.com Quote
Nobody Posted July 5, 2007 Report Posted July 5, 2007 What bothers me is the date inscription. The characters are "昭和十三 青". The first part may be Showa 13th (year). But why the following kanji such as 年月日 were not chiselled? Moreover, what does the last 青 (ao = blue) really mean? Does it mean Aogami (青紙) which is a kind of steel??? Quote
