it would be nice and helpful if someone with a much better understanding than me could translate the meaning of this sayagaki. As it seems it's talking about a Kanesada sword…?

I think the date might be : 昭和 貮拾 壹 年 戌 although I can't quite make it out with the current pics.

The date may be 昭和貳拾年乙酉弥生 (Showa 20 nen, Kinoto-Tori, Yayoi) - the 3rd month in 1945.

 

The small writings on other side are blade length, Ubu-nakago, Mumei, and Setsudan-mei in Gold inlay.
