raven2 Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Hi everyone, This is an Ebay tsuba I picked up inexpensively. The iron is a little dry but not too bad and not much rust on it. Here are the dimensions: Diameter: 7.2 cm Mimi - .42 cm thick Seppa Dai - .55 cm thick My best guess on this is a Higo (possibly Hayashi School), mid Edo Tsuba of bracken or fern shoots. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Quote
Mark Andrews Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Hello Fred, I bought a tsuba which is the same as yours from ebay last month . My tsuba has no design on it , and I would think it would fit a Tanto. I would also like to know the school if possible or information on yours from other collectors views. Best regards, Mark. Quote
raven2 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 Hi Mark, a picture of it and some dimensions would be a lot of help in identifying it. Quote
