Where did you get a box of Kanzan oshigata? …And can you post some?

As I recall, maybe 25 or 30 years ago, someone reproduced a limited edition set of these and sold them. I remember them being advertised in the JSS-US Newsletter. No doubt this is one of those sets.

And they tend to be 'really' expensive, when you can find them. The set consists of four long scrolls of oshigata, each held in a silk pouch, along with a small index book.

I've been looking for an affordable copy of these for some time now - sometimes you see prices of +1500$ - which in my view is a bit steep. But it is a very desirable set to have and the benifits of full length oshigata can't be denied! (also see the .pdf Eric posted)

I just bought the set that Ed Hicks was selling, and they are very impressive, though difficult to use.  I don't have the translation of them, so thanks to Eric (four years later) for posting that pdf!  Cheers, Bob
