Hello,

does anybody know if there exists a list (in English :) ) with all Fujishiro saijo rated smith?

As I can remember there are approx. 200 Koto smith, 16? Shinto smith and as I know just 4 Shinshinto smith which are Saijo rated.

Your comments are highly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Great information.

Sorry many mistakes from my side - I thought Sa Yukihide is also rated as saijosaku smith, but he is "just" rated as jo-josaku smith.

So maybe anybody knows the 9 Shinto smith :-) and my list would be perfect!! Of course I will also look for these few smith.

Umetada Myoju

Hizen Tadayoshi (shodai)

Gabriel:

Kiyomaro is shinshinto and the above two list are koto and shinto. I am sure that Kiyomaro is one of the three shinshinto saijo rated smiths. My guess on the other two would be Taikei Naotane and Suishinshi Masahide but I am not a shinshinto guy...

Oh duh, I was thinking in terms of Fujishiro's two volumes which are Koto + "Shinto" (& Shinshinto). I missed the fact that Jacques had already mentioned "9 shinto and 3 shinshinto" explicitly, so there are 12 total saijosaku smiths in the "Shinto" volume.

Magoroku Shodai Kanemoto 孫六初代兼元 (Kyoroku 1528–1532 in Mino province)

The name „Magoroku“ is only used for the 2nd generation -nidai- Kanemoto, Seki no Magoroku.
