ww2shingunto Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Gday there everyone! Im struggling with this one. I believe the second character to be Tsuye? and the third is Kane. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Tim Blackburne. Quote
Stephen Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 on the run , off hand id say Kanemasa maybe check a few here. http://home.earthlink.net/~ttstein/index.htm Quote
george trotter Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Not an easy style to read (but you got Kane right) and I can see how Stephen opted for Kanemasa...but I think it is SaTo KaneSumi "sumi" is the same as "Ju" which is so common in sword mei of pre-Meiji times (resident of). Not sure of name reading but I think he is Sato Kohachi, registered as a gunto kaji at Seki on 27 Dec 1940. Hope this helps Quote
John A Stuart Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 佐藤兼住 Sato Kanesumi. 佐藤 幸八 Sato Kohachi. Seems right. John Quote
