Not an easy style to read (but you got Kane right) and I can see how Stephen opted for Kanemasa...but I think it is SaTo KaneSumi

"sumi" is the same as "Ju" which is so common in sword mei of pre-Meiji times (resident of).

Not sure of name reading but I think he is Sato Kohachi, registered as a gunto kaji at Seki on 27 Dec 1940.
