shaun Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Hi everyone, I was playing around in the garage the other day and ended up making this little sword from a three inch nail and some wood I had lying around. the blade has an etched hamon (to small to photograph) the tsuba is copper with gold gilt and the tsuka is wraped in cotton. It took most of the day but was a lot of fun, I then showed the wife and she stitched up the sword bag and yes it is real Japanese silk and fully lined, gotta love her. Anyway just thought I'd share my fist adventure into sword making..........can't wait to make a full size one.....ha ha!! Quote
