Christophe,

nice collection and very nice furniture, thank you for showing! Seems you have a good source living in Japan!

Your quiver is standing upside-down, by the way.

Very nice, I love your naginata and yari display.

BTW, traditionally, swords on katana kake are displaid with handles on the left side.

Very nice display, Christophe! I would love to use real tatamis in my armor-room, but they are really expensive in Scandinavia.

Good luck with the second half of the room.

Jean, perhaps Christophe is at war with a neighboring clan. I´ve read somewhere that placing your swords with the handles pointing right, is a sign that the owner is preparing (or is already involved) in a war/armed conflict... 8)

Thanks for sharing, Christophe!

I like this thread. Here is mine. I picked up the screens at a local Asian Furniture store. Think I over-paid @ $80 ea. I like the minimalist look better, but I am researching a few extra swords this month.

Hi Jean:

The swords are turned that way for aesthetics. But, you are probably referring to the other weaponry seen in the photo. Those are old school recurve bows; a Bear Kodiak and a Ben Pearson Mustang. What you don't see is the Sig P238, shotgun and rifle:) Woe to the intruder.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
