yamit3 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Hi, this is my first post here, hope you guys can help me. I'm the successful bidder for this beautiful tsuba: http://www.aoijapan.com/tsuba%E3%80%80bukan%E3%80%80sukashi-tsuba But I do have some doubts about it. First, the price, I'm okay paying 88,500 Yens for what I consider a very nice piece of art, but I have no idea if that price is alright or if I'm paying way to much. Finally aoiart's payment methods seems for me a little bit lacking, have anybody bought any item from them? ( They are asking me to send my credit card info o make a bank transfer, I'm just want to make sure is safe ). Regards, Jhonny. Quote
J Reid Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 He is safe to deal with. I am usually very cautious online.. However I have no problem wiring money/ credit card info to tsuruta-san. As to the Tsuba.. I can't comment on the price because I'm at work and the firewalls have me locked outta there! Quote

Grey Doffin Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Hi Jhonny, What you paid for the tsuba with paper is about right, I think. Grey Quote

Antti Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 You can also pay via PayPal if you're dealing with AoiArt. Just ask them about it. I'm a newbie as well, and have bought both of my tsuba from Aoi Art, and I've been really pleased with the service. I've also paid both tsuba with paypal. They also said that PayPal applies to both auction and the shop. Quote
Thierry BERNARD Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Hi Jhonny as already said you can pay with paypal ( you will pay fee )!! but remember it's better asking questions ( to the seller or on the board ) before buying! :D Quote
yamit3 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Report Posted August 16, 2013 Thanks Thierry, I checked the payment methods before hand but, when I won the bid I got an email with a link that didn't have any security ( going a litle bit more tech there was no https protocol active, and if I try to force the https conection the page's certificate ended up been self signed) that was something that got me worried. But everything is alright now. Jhonny. Quote
