Marius Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I have come across this site: http://www.artsales.com/ They have some good tsuba, alas with no price tags... Has anyone ever dealt with them?
Brian Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Never heard of them, but on that page, they do state: At the Florida sword show Feb. 10, 11 2007 Kanayama will show 12 Tsuba made by Hayashi Matashichi and other fine Higo Tsuba 2007? Sounds like they don't update all that often. "For Pricing Information and availability on Tsuba Contact: Kanayama Discusses Sukashi Tsuba Telephone: (928) 202-0343 email: kanayama@artsales.com" Odd. :? Brian

Soshin Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Hi Mariusz K., I have the website bookmarked because some examples on display are nice. I don't know who owns the website or if anything is sale. It refers to the 2007 Tampa Show so it's been online for a long time unchanged. Sorry I can't be of any help. Yours truly, David Stiles
Curran Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 hint2.0: last I knew, he didn't own that site. Or it wasn't entirely his. Whatever. Doesn't quite matter. Several of the oldtimers and dealer say he is an avid repatinator of Stickley, Arts & Crafts, and other early items. He comes by some quality papered items. If an item rejoin the community, it often enjoys a new aesthetic for its special time receiving his patronage. People regard him with quite the spectrum of opinions.
Marius Posted May 9, 2013 Author Report Posted May 9, 2013 Dave, many thanks. Curran, many thanks. I understand what you say.
