cuttingedge59 Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Hi All , Enquiring as to whether any of the board members belong to this organisation or have had dealings with their restoration service good ,bad or ugly . Comments would be appreciated as they come up amongst the Japanese sword restoration sites ? Chris Quote
kaigunair Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 If you're talking about polishing services, mr hoshino is not traditionally trained. He also sets up a knife polishing booth in jtown from time to time. He also runs the SF ninja society. You can find more detailed experience doing a google search. That club is also NOT the ncjsc or Northern California Japanese Sword Club which was founded by Yumoto sensei and which holds the token Kai sword show in August. Quote
Brian Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I suggest searching the net or the forum for them. Less said, the better. Brian Quote
b.hennick Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 Looked up "Ninja" on Wikipaedia and there was nothing there. Those guys are good! :D Quote
Jean Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 From this post Barry, you are not good, you are the best Quote
drjoe Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 kidding aside, what brian is referring to can be a little hard to find these days. but here's a bit (scroll down): http://www.budoseek.net/vbulletin/showt ... d-smithing caveat emptor. Quote
cuttingedge59 Posted May 10, 2013 Author Report Posted May 10, 2013 Thanks all , Eactly as I suspected. The little bugger disappeared like a rat up a drain pipe when I asked for references and photo's of work in hand. He was also pretty keen to get his money up front . Another shark swimming in the nihonto waters. Chris Quote
