All,

I will be at the Chicago Show next weekend. As some know I ALWAYS give 5% of sales listed here to the NMB (even when i lose my shirt  ) as it is an unbelievable wealth of information and such a great place to learn! Also Brian and Gene do more than their fair share and deserve a pint and I am more than happy to accommodate. Given the expense to travel out, unfortunately I'll need to cut my donation back to 2.5% for the show -- but I will be able to take credit (which will bring me near my normal 5% donation). As some know I try to focus on gendaito and that's all I'll be bringing (plus two Tsuba). Below are the swords I'll bring along. I'm not trying to get rich - but as always funding the next purchase and helping an amazing cause (all blades in excellent recent or wartime polish):

1. Nagamitsu katana in late '44 mounts signed "Ichiryushi"

2. Emura katana in Shinto mounts

3. Muto Hidehiro is shirasaya (with papers)

4. Nakata Kanehide Katana -- star stamped -- in shirasaya

5. Nakata Kanehide (VERY RARE) wakizashi in shirasaya

6. Star stamped Kiyokuni katana in gunto mounts

7. Star stamped Miura Kunimitsu in late '44 mounts

8. Star stamped (and published in sloughs) Masafusa katana in shirasaya

9. Special order Yasumoto Norimitsu (RJT) in shirasaya

10. Kawashima Tadayoshi katana in shirasaya

Some swords are more negotiable than others and all sales made mentioning "SwordGuyJoe" will donate 2.5% to the NMB.

Regards,

Joe Kraninger
