Mr Colin Pike who has been a collector of all items Nihonto for the last 50 plus years, sadly lost a brave fight against cancer, today 11th April at 9.00am. He died at home attended by his wife Elaine and family.

Colin was the Sensei at the Ffenics Aikido Club in Barry in Wales. He was known, to many of the enthusiasts of our hobby here in the UK. He was not PC active but shared many posts with me from the NMB. My genuine friendship with Colin was far too brief; he will be much missed by myself, and many, many others.

A Gentleman of the first order.

Colin was a wonderful man, whose passion and vitality inspired many.

He will be missed by all, and never forgotten.

Always sad to loose one of the good guys, and while I never met the man, I know what it is like to lose one like him. My condolences as well.

I have been with Elaine, Colin,s wife this morning, she and the family are touched, that these thoughts are coming in from not only the UK, but all over the world.

She has always appreciated that nihonto collecting, and study has a specialist following.

The funeral is on 24th April, and I have promised her a condolence card from the NMB, onto which I will add the wishes of all you gentlemen on this topic. This is of course if there are no objections.

Thanking you all, on behalf of Mrs Colin Pike and family.

Denis.

I would also like to pass on my condolences to the family.

After recent passings in my own family i hope they to will gain strength in the good memories in his life and the support of a good family and or course close friends.
