I saw someone bring this up in another section of these forums to help someone. I thought it might be a good idea for myself. I live in Rochester NY, that is in the western NY area and wondered if these was any members from the boards that was from around the area. It would be awesome if someone was that might have items to see, books to share etc. I am more or a visual learner, so books only get me so far.

I just bought my first blade and am hungry for knowledge, and friends that are based on this hobby.

Thank you

It would be a nice feature if one could list a rough geographic area as a locale and indicate whether or not they would be open to meeting with people from the same area.

EDIT: I see we can list a location...I bet the field is large enough to include a "contact welcome" comment if people wanted to add one...

Hi Grey,

had no idea you lived up this way! Land of eternal winter, at least this year. I'll stop by and see you at the Chicago show, and discuss this further. Thanks.

Anyone know if the Florida Token Kai has any meetings? I heard it went inactive a couple years back. I'd be willing to help breathe some new life into the organization if anyone else in the Tampa area is interested.

I think it's always a good idea to include your location as I find that very valuable information. If someone for example needs help, when you see their location, it's much easier to point him towards someone local or otherwise the best possible help if they have included their location. And of course it's easier to meet other members.

And if someone happens to visit Finland, feel free to message me beforehand, I'm always happy to meet other collectors. :)

People are encouraged to go into their profile, and add their location, or as much of it as they are willing to share. It does make life easier, but I won't make it compulsory.
