shinshinto yokoyama bizen

Do any shinshinto Bizen Yokoyama blades exist with tameshimei or cutting test inscriptions? Were they ever tested for there cutting efficiency?

There were certain smiths in Shinshinto that were well known for having their blades tested but smiths from the Yokoyama group weren't among them. You may come across one with a cutting test, but it would be rather unusual, unlike say, Koyama Munetsugu, whose blades have them rather frequently.

I don't know how much has been reported about their cutting ability but there are some highly regarded smiths in the group, as well as some that are rather obscure. It is a fairly large and prolific group.

Check Fujishiro for sharpness rating, I would think that that would be some indication of having been tested.
