Fuchi Kashira theme ?

Hi Guys, I had pulled these out on the weekend for some friends to look at and was asked what the theme was ? the seller described as them 2y ago as Akikusa ni Rokkasen zu (autumn flowers & 6 poets) and was told by a friend it was Kaga shop work. I would like to know if the members agree. Thanks

Not sure about the theme, but it sure looks like the artist was showing off every punch in the draw, with his texture, and inlay skills.

I really like these. They appear to have a tea house theme with the scene framing done in the shape of fans and serving trays. Kaga wouldn't surprise me at all.

They are indeed beautiful, Jim. I assume we are looking for more than the fact that they are renderings of fan paintings?

Hi Jim,

Rokkasen (六歌仙) looks right in my opinion. Among the human figures I can recognize Ono no Komachi, which was the only woman in the group of the "Six Immortal Poets" according to the poetry anthology Kokin Wakashū. The man with a sword could be Ariwara no Narihira.

BTW, a very nice F/K set indeed!
