Adrian Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Romulus Bostan is definitely a Romanian name. What was the nationality of your old fraud guy? Can you please post a link to the Craigslist ad? Apparently there are a lot of phone numbers listed for this guy in Denmark probably one of the Danish members could tell us if those are anonymous prepaid SIM's  Quote
cabowen Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 There has been a steady listing on the UK craigslist for big name gendaito for next to nothing. One is this Gassan. It is a scam. I have emailed craigslist about this more than once. Quote
Stephen Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 buyer or guy who got scamed corrected me 1800 lb...as Chris said its not a real sale so dont worry about the name. pix he showed me are the ones from back in the day that had everyone drooling over ..was it ebay or Nihonto sale site i dont remember...very nice G tassle. Adrian Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 .as Chris said its not a real sale so dont worry about the name. Actually it would be worth investigating the payment methods that the scammer accepts. He may be using the real name of one of his accomplices in order to receive the funds using a method that doesn't look suspicious to the victims. Quote
Stephen Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 HE WIRED HIM THE MONEY sorry for caps in poker room Quote
Adrian Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Yup, if he wired the money it's all over. Very silly thing to do in a transaction like this, but apparently many people get their judgement clouded when a deal looks very good (and it's actually too good to be true)... Quote
Stephen Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 Yes, but it does step up the learning curve right, ive made mistakes later in life than he, im sure hell not forget the bite. Quote

raaay Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Dear All This looks like the same sword with the Generals tassel that was going around ebay etc a few years back and at one point it was suppossed to be located in Scotland in Edinburgh and in Aberdeen. it's a scam ray Quote
Adrian Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 buyer is upset i posted . please remove Adrian please remove link Done. But IMO discussing such scams might help others avoid being scammed, not sure that turning the head to the other direction is the right thing to do. Quote
Stephen Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 agreed , he's ok now that I removed some details. maybe leave it...found this in London CL know that's Eric's photo.... http://london.craigslist.co.uk/clt/3574628628.html Quote
Jorgensen Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Hi, Is this guy from Denmark??... If any have some info like phone numbers or similar and want help, please post or PM me and I will do my best to help. Actually, not long ago, there was a fella anouncing a katana on a danish sale forum at a ridicoulous price. Same pictures in this add was also on a running aution on ebay - at a lot higher price. Phone number was anonymous sim of course. Obvious scam - the sale forum was contacted and add was removed. Cannot let such be allowed. Maybe could be same guy?! PS... if not obvious, I am from Denmark Quote
