Bruno Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Maybe seller can say that but Thomas has good arguments to defend himself also. Furthermore if Thomas has a copy of buyer's message saying the parcel was not damaged when he opened it, it can help Ebay to beleive the dagger has been damaged after the parcel was opened. Not saying it is easy but with the photos and copies of buyer's messages, I think Thomas has a chance. At least it worths to try. If Thomas can show to Ebay that buyer ask a refund superior to what the final price was, it can also show Ebay how dishonest he is. This can help also. Quote
Alex A Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Thomas, be careful, paypal will refund the buyer if they think your dragging out the situation. If they do, then you wont get your item back.. Best to get it sorted fast. If it was me, i would speak to my bank, i think your within your rights to stop paypal taking money from your bank/credit card, your being scammed.....just a thought. Alex. Quote
J Reid Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Paypal can't legally take money out of your account. Your paypal account will just go negative. You don't want to lose your paypal/ebay account over this though.. Quote
Alex A Posted February 21, 2013 Report Posted February 21, 2013 Thomas, just out of curiosity, how much are we talking? Alex Quote
Kai-Gunto Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 150usd but it was not my dirk. I sold it for one of my friends. Quote
Alex A Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 No, i would not loose my paypal account over that amount...Let us know the outcome of this situation...hope its all cleared up soon for you. Alex Quote
Kai-Gunto Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 I dont wanna lose anything too an i**** . The story even gets better , heres a new email. I told him it is a original Japanese late war navy dirk. Heres the auction : http://my.mobileweb.ebay.com/myebay?cmd=SOLD&pg=1 Email from buyer: Hi Certainly you do not want to offend, or somehow denounce the deliberate lies.Definitely not. Today I went back for sure in antiques for expert in the field of World Large areas of Japan, and I left him again to assess the originality of this dagger. Again, he assured me that this is probably a copy from China.Po?ádel him to interpret the Japanese dagger model 1883, and strongly denied that he ever produced of plastic. In what was certainly reassured me that it would Fuchi, Tsuba and Seppa acquired made ??of metal. That dagger lacks Habaki reassure him that it's a copy. That dagger was not complete and most broken is another.Broken parts can be a bit of repair, but the missing part can not. I'm trying to understand you, but you also have to understand me. Therefore, I will make you one last final attempt of a deal. Send me back $ 110, and everything will be settled.I'll keep the dagger, I'll fix you, and you have at least some compensation.Or try to think of something to you. Please let me know by tomorrow how you decided. Quote
J Reid Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 F*** that guy. He can send you back the "dagger"..... What planet is he from? Seriously. If he doesn't send back the sword, he shouldn't get squat. Quote
J Reid Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 He's probably hoping he can get back the majority of his cash and then will just reassemble the sword when he magically finds the "missing" piece. He has already mentioned that he knows he can, and plans to do that with the broken item. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 Buyer scam. Definetely. Send all his emails to Ebay and PayPal. KM Quote
Kai-Gunto Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 Heres auction http://www.ebay.com/itm/160963556508?ss ... 1559.l2649 Quote
Jiro49 Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 All I can say is what a Dirtbag!!!! I hope the emails will give you the advantage in this case! Quote
Alex A Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 I would settle the problem with ebay, his own words are his downfall, then when its settled, id give him a not so nice message about what he can do with the dagger. If he leaves bad feedback ebay should remove it. Alex Quote
Adrian Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 But then, if he leaves a negative saying that you've been rude, ebay will have no reason to remove it. Quote
Alex A Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Who cares , Drives me mad the ebay feedback scheme, so unfair at times for honest sellers Alex. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 I always check on feedback, especially negative feedback. Can be hilarious at times. Not many of you might remember the "Mackstar" a seller who had serious mental problems. His feedback rows were legendary. KM Quote
Alex A Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Unfair negative feedback is usually easy to spot, especially when you see the sellers explanation, unless theres an unusual amount of negative feedback it doesnt usually bother me. Alex. Quote
Kai-Gunto Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 Ebay buyer protection..........sellers lose. Ebay does not help the sellers. I have reported him for misusing the buyer protection. Quote
Adrian Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 So, what's the current status of the whole thing? Quote
Alex A Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 Thomas, is the item being returned? Alex. Quote
