cisco-san Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Hello, a blade coming with this paper has been offered to me. I am not sure about this paper (I have added a genuine one as well), even I am not able to read the signature. Therefore I kindly ask for your help. Many thanks in advance. Quote
Grey Doffin Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Hi Klaus, I'm sure others who can read the paper will chime in but to my eye this looks phoney baloney. I think all columns except the one with what should be an attribution are xeroxed from a real paper, the attribution was written by a chicken, and what happened to the oshigata/photo? Grey Quote
Alex A Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Im no expert, but i would be concerned too... Alex Quote
John A Stuart Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Without a doubt an amateur scam. This person should be reported to the bunco squad. John Quote
Markus Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 I wonder who the hell is faking papers that way, making all the work with copying the proper form but entering a weird alien inscription. Oh wait, Klaus, is the blade offered to you maybe really "signed" like quoted on the paper? Quote
Adrian Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 At this point maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to share the identity of the seller. I kinda doubt that someone who deals in nihonto would try to sell this kind of gross fake in good faith. Quote

These is what I thought! @Markus: I asked for a picture from the Mei - answer was "I have no possiblity to dismantle the Katana and I do not want to destroy something" At this point maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to share the identity of the seller. I kinda doubt that someone who deals in nihonto would try to sell this kind of gross fake in good faith. It is an Austrian auction (I guess Markus knows it) http://www.willhaben.at/iad/viewimage?adId=52897667 Anyway, of course I will NOT buy this sword (I even had never such intention) - I just want to show you some strange things on the market! Again, many thanks for your comments! Quote
