AndreasU Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 What do you think about this one?? The description seems a bit curious. The guy who wrote it tried to write it so that it looks he is not profession but parts of it are with the specific terms. So is it a go or a no go?? Quote
AndreasU Posted May 18, 2007 Author Report Posted May 18, 2007 Uups, me stupid http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... otohosting Quote
Brian Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Can't tell from the pics there. But I can tell you that seller does know Japanese swords a bit. You can tell from the info he provides, the way he has displayed the sword in the pics and the facts he has provided. Not someone who has just seen his first Japanese sword This isn't some guy who is disposing of something he has no idea about. Good luck, looks ok..but get more info and pics as always. Brian Quote

Henry Wilson Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Don't fancy the koshirae. The blade looks nice thought.... Quote
Stephen Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 i thought the Kissaki may have been reshaped, maybe it was buffed? could be the photo. Quote
AndreasU Posted May 19, 2007 Author Report Posted May 19, 2007 Thought the same! looks like tip was broken and then shortened. I did US$1200 on it but still reserve on it. So I let it go if it is more. Not worth it! Quote
Grey Doffin Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I also think the kissaki has been messed with. What's more, in every picture the edge looks like it has a secondary bevel. I wonder if some amateur polisher has been practicing on this. I'd definitely stay away from this one. Grey Quote
