Markus Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 It´s me again. I was able to finish another project which I was working at alongside other projects since I did the German version of Dr. Honma´s "Nihon-koto-shi". So this is now the "Nihon-shinto-shi", the history of the shinto era, for the present in German, but an English version will follow... Its 444 paperback pages with 321 b/w pics and oshigata. I attach the table of contents and a preview so that you can get a general idea of the publication. Thank you for your attention. http://www.lulu.com/shop/markus-sesko/n ... 60512.html http://www.lulu.com/shop/markus-sesko/e ... 69077.html And for the English readers, please have patience with me. Andi B. Posted February 2, 2013 Report Posted February 2, 2013 Markus, thanks for this new nice book! ...I think I decreased my bank account five minutes ago... Quote
Gilles Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 Dear Markus, Would it be possible for you to tell us when an english version will be available of that nice book ? Best regards, Quote
Jean Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 Gilles, Not nice book but nice books for AFAIK, I have not seen the koto book in English. Quote
Markus Posted April 1, 2013 Author Report Posted April 1, 2013 @Gilles: The English version is basically finished. Just some proof reading and then it might be out in two or three weeks. I keep you all up-to-date. @Jean: The English one was provided by the NBTHK some time ago, with the pics in the Token-Bijutsu magazines. http://www.touken.or.jp/english/nihon_koto_shi.html Quote
Gilles Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 Dear Markus, Please excuse my friend Jean. At his advanced age, he is becoming quite anxious to know everything about KOTO swords. Quite an interesting pathology for the medical corps. :D Quote
Jean Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 I apologized for my friend Gilles who mistakes your first name Markus with NBTHK name :D. because he is still a kid ( in his early fifties, but what is it for a hobbit?), his poor oppressed brain can't go back further than the 19th century (shinshinto) PS: Gilles is an old dear modernist friend who collects almost only Shinshinto Katana (because of his frail stature, he collects also polerarms whatever the era.)
