Higo-san Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Dear Fellow Board Members, I have attached three photos of one of my tsuba. I am happy for comments, opinions and of course kantei. I would also be glad, if someone could help me reading/verifying the signature. Many thanks in advance, Chris Quote
Thierry BERNARD Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 look like a yoshiro tsuba workmanship on the tsuba is good! nice I like-it could you give us the size of this tsuba? Quote
Jean Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Here is one of my tsuba: 縦90.5mm, 横87.5mm, 切羽台厚さ4.7mm Patina is dark brown Quote
Marius Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Pity is is covered with grime or something. I would say it is a late revival piece: The patina is thin. The nakago ana is very fresh, These "antique" looking hitsu ana have the wrong shape (similar were used in early/Mid Muromachi, but they were different and designed for different kozuka/kogai) Just my two cents. Higo-san Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 Thank you for the replies so far, gentlemen! By the way, Momoyama Kaga Yoshiro was also my guess. The diameter is 84.00 mm. Thickness is 3.5 mm. Best, Chris Quote
