Gunome Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Hello, Can someone confirm my correct reading of this fuchi mei : MasaYuki 政隨 Thanks Sébastien Quote
David McDonald Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Dear Sebastien I agree Masayuki and the kanji you posted. I found a couple of notes to Hamano school smiths that were named Masayuki. Good luck david mcdonald jswords@mcn.net Quote
Gunome Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Posted January 20, 2013 Hello Thanks you for confirmation. Not sure of what it is : hamano or anything else. Here are the pics of the fuchi : Sébastien Quote
John A Stuart Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I do not believe this is Hamano school work and particularly not by Hamano Shozui. When you look at the masterworks of this school you will see a large predominance of anthropomorphic form and in soft metal base plate. This is an iron base, yes?? Either way the work belies the Hamano school. John Quote
Gunome Posted January 21, 2013 Author Report Posted January 21, 2013 Hi John, Thanks for your comment. yes it is an iron fuchi. I make some research in internet. As Masayuki is a big, I think it is a copy of his work. But I a have no idea of which school could have do it. Thanks again for your comment on this fuchi :D Quote
