Markus Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Helly overyone, I just want to revive this thread (viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14361) by a new one (@mods: I hope this is ok) and inform you that the two volumes on Koto-kantei and Shinto-shinshinto-kantei are out now. Also eBooks of both volumes are available. I almost kept the announced price but the project turned out to have more pages than thought (484 + 440 pages for the German and 464 + 416 pages for the English volumes) so the final price is 75,93 Euro. Thank you for your understanding. All versions, i.e. the English, German and eBook versions can be found here: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/nihontobooks Please be careful to get the right language and thank you for your interest Quote
Markus Posted December 22, 2012 Author Report Posted December 22, 2012 Oh, and don´t forget the upcoming Lulu coupons: http://www.lulu.com/holiday-coupons Quote
Brian Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Although the coupon codes mention printed versions, it appears as though they will work with the eBooks too. Regards, Brian Quote

Pete Klein Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 Markus -- I took advantage of the discount on the E-book on 'Koshirae' and I must say I am totally impressed with your work. I read over it today and will spend quite a bit of time to get down over two hundred pages of information! LOL Thank you so much for your effort. Pete Klein Quote

Andi B. Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 That's what I assumed... 40% for the cheapest book in the basket. But never the less I ordered the Kantei set. Thank you Markus to provide also German volumes. Quote
Markus Posted December 27, 2012 Author Report Posted December 27, 2012 I thank you all for your interest in my publications. Sorry for those who missed some deals at Lulu but unfortunately they didn´t tell me what was coming up and so when I saw the 30 % off, I thought I just had to post that. Quote
paulb Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 My copies arrived today. Congratulations Markus on yet another exceptional piece of work. These two volume represent an invaluable reference for any one intersted in studying good swords (whether you do kantei or not) They are an easy to use reference and well worth the price (even for those of us who were too impatient and ordered before the discount deals ) Thanks again for your efforts they are much appreciated Best Regards Paul Quote
Markus Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 Thank you Paul! There are still discounts until Jan 2nd. Quote
Gilles Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 ARGHHHH !!!!!!! Got the books today, the shin-shinto was in English as ordered but the koto was in German AS NOT ORDERED. Quote
Veli Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 I ordered three pairs of these kantei books (all in English) and received them today. Five books were in English and one (Shin-Shinto) in German... well, I can read German language text, so no big deal. The English language copies go to other Finnish nihonto collectors. But Lulu.com does seem to ship books in more or less random language... Veli Quote
Markus Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 I am sorry for your trouble with Lulu. I too got a Shinto volume in English I did not order. @Veli: I have an idea. Maybe we can change our wrong volumes because I am just at sending it back to Lulu. Please tell me if this sounds anything good and I offer to refund you the shipping fee. @Gilles: Did you contact Lulu? Quote
Veli Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Markus, that is an excellent idea. Never mind the postage cost within Europe. Let's exchange address info, either by PM or you can mail me at nihontofinland( )gmail.com. Veli Quote
Gilles Posted January 4, 2013 Report Posted January 4, 2013 Dear Markus, Yes, I did contact Lulu. They told me that the mistake was their own and they are sending me a copy of the Koto book in English. Let us wait and see. Thank you Markus for your concern. Regards, Quote
