It is located on printed leather which is part of a set of armour and the script by hand or a print in Brown/black ink. Sorry for quality of picture, kanji is now a little faded out. Nobody Posted December 11, 2012 Report Posted December 11, 2012 The kanji are 天平十二年八月日 (Tenpyo 12 nen 8 gatsu hi; A day in the 8th month of 740). However; that is not an actual date but a part of the design on the leather, which is called Tenpyo-gawa (天平革 - Tenpyo leather). Quote

This is the count system that I use. It is a basic count system. I was trying to find the 5th kanji with 6 stroke that you have listed. 年 Buy itself what does it mean please.
