Recently received an email from a posting I had up in regards to this blade. Looks like someone tried to clean the blade from the pics and habaki is cracked. In general, this one gives me an icky feeling. Never helps when you're sent low-quality cell phone pics. Will take me some time to try and translate too.

Looks like a standard showato. Someone has removed the hatome for the kabutogane/sarute. I recommend trying to translate this one - it is not too hard and another example from the smith can be found in Stein's showa oshigata database: http://home.earthlink.net/~ttstein/index.htm.
