Morning all,

 

This is part of a document containing the autographs of Imperial Japanese Navy Officers aboard His Imperial Majesty's Ship Katori c. 1906 (Possibly the handing over after the sea trials with Vickers at Barrow in Furness U.K.).

I have it on behalf of a client and I have been able to work this far:

 

 

 

Can anyone help with the Kanji for the underlined Romaji below please.

Thank you Morita san, the information was invaluable, I can now fill out the details of one of those mentioned:

 

Engineer Lieutenant Commander Kurita Tomitaro I.J.N. (Born in Aomori) 1872 - 1932

Final Rank: Rear Admiral (Engineer)

 

Information from what is known as the "Cradle era" of the Imperial Japanese Navy is fragmentary and Morita san's translation may have helped to fill in some important gaps.

 

Certainly it has helped me to understand a little more about the relationship that existed between Japan and the U.K. in the period 1905/6.

 

If it is not too much of an imposition, would it be possible to look at the other side of the document please.
