Baka Gaijin Posted November 4, 2012 Author Report Posted November 4, 2012 Good morning all I agree with your comment Kunitaro san. Thank you Morita san, the information was invaluable, I can now fill out the details of one of those mentioned: Engineer Lieutenant Commander Kurita Tomitaro I.J.N. (Born in Aomori) 1872 - 1932 Final Rank: Rear Admiral (Engineer) Information from what is known as the "Cradle era" of the Imperial Japanese Navy is fragmentary and Morita san's translation may have helped to fill in some important gaps. Certainly it has helped me to understand a little more about the relationship that existed between Japan and the U.K. in the period 1905/6. If it is not too much of an imposition, would it be possible to look at the other side of the document please. Left side inner Paymaster Kashiwagi Masafumi I.J.N. (Born in Kagoshima) 1871 – 1962 Final Rank: Vice Admiral (Paymaster). Engineer Lieutenant Miyoshi Kotaro I.J.N. 2nd Lieutenant Funakoshi Takayoshi I.J.N. Right side inner 2nd Lieutenant Kikui Nobuyoshi I.J.N. (Born in Tottori) 1882 – 1937 Final Rank: Rear Admiral 2nd Lieutenant Hyakutake Gengo I.J.N. (Born in Saga) 1882 – 1976 Became (briefly) President of the University of Kyushu in 1945 Final Rank: Admiral 2nd Lieutenant Yoko? Y I.J.N. Lieutenant Commander Kato Yujiro (Born in Hiroshima) 1870 – 1945 (Served on H.I.M.S. Mikasa prior to taking up position on H.I.M.S. Katori) Final Rank: Rear Admiral Lieutenant Nakamura Ryozo I.J.N. (Born in Aomori) 1878 – 1945 Resident in U.K. in 1917 Assistant Minister to the Japanese Cabinet in 1940 Final Rank: Admiral Edited at 16.00 local to remove images of left and right inner page document at client request.
