i'd like some imput on a set of put together edo era armor

I will admit i have no clues when it comes to Japanese armor and this is the first set ive seen locally. Please let me know the value on a set of armor such as these before i travel down to the seller's place and take more dtailed pictures, thanks!

Its not the best armour. Ni-mai dou - 16th Century. Low ranking, okashi (lent) armour maybe. You can pick these up on ebay rather cheaply.

I see, i have no idea how "cheaply" would mean as i imagined that armor would cost more than swords of a relative condition form the same era. Perhaps im wrong. I'll look up on the informations you've given so far, thanks

What Dave means is, you can get one like it on Ebay with a helmet for around the same money. These are not high end armor. Nice to have in a collection, but not a treasure.

Timothy, they are just being nice, it is not worth anything near the asking price, run away fast and do not look back!!!, if the seller really knew what he was doing he would have posted detained images of the armor so anyone interested could see what was being sold. There are not many real samurai armor dealers in the world but if you are seriously looking for an authentic armor ask for some links to respectable dealers and forum members will let you know who they would recommend.

Based on this single pic, "okashi" dodgy condition without kabuto......... .....I wouldn`t buy it

Thank you guys, this is the exact kind of answer im looking for. As someone novice to Japanese armors like i said i had no idea where the pricing starts or ends, i'll run away from the deal and move onto greener pastures this time
