I just returned from a trip to Montreal and Quebec City. In Montreal there is an exhibit at the Pointe-‐à-‐Callière Museum in Old Montreal. Doctor Richard Beliveau is a specialist who fell in love with armour. As I found out part way through the exhibit - photography is not allowed. I understand not using flash photography but I see no reason to limit photographs - unless the point is to sell catalogues....

Here is the link to that collection. BTE you have until February to seethe exhibit.

There were a few swords in the exhibit. The best blade to my mind is a nidai Muramasa yari. Unfortunately I could not photograph it. It used to be on Darcy Brockbank's site at http://www.nihonto.ca/muramasa/ Good blade with great koshirae.

Its nice that you were able to get the pictures you did, I was there on the opening day and security stopped me the moment I pulled out my camera.

Beautiful Private collection indeed.... Dr. Beliveau worked real hard to put it all together, I imagine his house feels quite empty these days!

Thanks again.
