Hi Gents returning to swords after an eight year hiatus,This was my 1st purchase since returning.I cant be this lucky,If my limited translation skills are right I think this is Bizen/Bishu Osafune Ju Tomomitsu O Ei Ichi Nen Hachi Gatsu So 2nd gen Tomomitsu,Kanemitsu,s grandson.Tha Nakago is dark brown and the kanji are smooth and worn and hard to read.I had to take overexposed Macro shots to get them.I dont have any books anymore.Can someone check his Oshigata and see if Im close.Thanks.Dave

It's too hard saying something about mei itself, but it seems that the nakago jiri doesn't match the one usually used by Tomomitsu (kurijiri).

I thought it was Kurijiri

First impression is it isn't even remotely correct.

 

But there was more than one generation. Any photos of the blade, blade shape, etc before I go opening up the big Bizen books.
