Anyone had any dealings with the ebay seller fwic2803 previously?

I bought a tanto off him a few weeks ago and he doesn't reply to ebay messages I send him. I wondered if anyone else had dealt with him previously as the feedback he receives seems quite decent.

How long have you been waiting ?

Well he's had my money over 2 weeks now and I have heard nothing from him. Obviously he has to get an export permit but I find it odd that he doesn't reply to any messages I send him asking for an update.

I know of someone who purchased a katana from him some years ago, that he had polished and papered with him (failed, no reason given).

By the time it arrived to the UK it was too late to complain through Paypal and Ebay.

The sword had a fatal problem, and he NEVER answered his email. :bang:

Hello!

I also bought 3 swords from him all papered. Everything as described, good comunication, nice prices. Sorry to hear someone having a bad experience.

I would happily buy from him again.

Hi Everyone,

I purchased a unpapered wakazashi from him at a low price. Good communication no problems. I submitted it to the NTHK shinsa in 2006 and it failed for having a gimei. I resold it on eBay in 2007 for about what I paid for it. Maybe I need to start saving up for a Nihonto again. Take care.

I recently bought another Wakazashi from him, signed Shinshu Ju Morishige and with NBTHK papers with it also.

This will be my 4th sword from him, and never a problem, plan on buying more from him in the future.

I forgot to mention it is in full shirasaya , with Kanji script written on the shirasaya also.

Takaya san,

That is very nice of you. We are looking for more dealers to get involved, and to maybe offer small discounts to members in return for increased exposure to their sales. As you can see, this works, and you can expect many more views to your auctions.

People still have to do their homework about items they are interested in anywhere..we do not personally vouch for any sellers. But you can see honest opinions from members (no feedback "blackmail') and work accordingly.

I know you have been a member here for a while, so glad to see people can approach you. I suggest members who intend bidding send their usernames if they win, and make sure you mention to all sellers you are a member.

More exposure = more benefits hopefully :)

Hi all. I actually just purchased a shinto katana from Takaya san. The experience was terrific. Quick email communication and extremely fast shipping. He shipped it 10 days after I paid, and it made it to me in the US in 3 days after shipping. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Takaya san,

Thank you!
