Lindus Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Seems that degrees of misunderstood humour during the thread and some "snappy" comments are amusing but we must be careful that as on occasions in the past we dont drive folk away. It all good stuff and even the old members learn something new from the comments on this site, yes contribute if you feel you have benefitted, does not have to be a huge amount but does show the value of being able to access such a huge range of knowledge & witty comment { }. Welcome to the Good,Bad and .............. Remember that Brians Lea Jet is only ever used for trips to Monaco, so does not need fuel every week Roy Quote
Brian Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Roy, Firstly, that is "Lear" and not "Lea"... And secondly, on a South African salesman's salary (where we need over 8 of our Rands just to buy one of those little paper Dollar thingys) do you think if I could even afford a model of a Lear Jet..I would still be here and not visiting the country of Japan that I crave every waking moment? Lindus Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Now here is the thing,we non jet owners probably would not know how to spell Lear,(thought that a lascivious smirk).......or,some play ?. Quote
Lindus Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Was a comment on the first paragraph of my initial comment deleted or did I imagine it?. Quote
Prepeleac Posted September 7, 2012 Author Report Posted September 7, 2012 Not trying to get myself in trouble more than what I am already, but I have noticed a comment that disappeared. It might be the "Lea owners" ... Chip C Quote
Lindus Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Hallo Chip old chap Thanks for that,we have the building blocks of a Watergate scenario,I also noticed that a "For Sale" insert offering the members some Japanese prints & Old photographs dirt cheap for charity also vanished........ ..... Avatar changed just to monitor this PS. Jean, you were right Quote
Brian Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Paranoid much? Nothing was edited..or we would have indicated it. For sale items are cleaned up periodically if they are old, in the wrong place or repeated too often. Don't know the post, but it's possible. Back to the topic. Brian Quote
Prepeleac Posted September 8, 2012 Author Report Posted September 8, 2012 The comment that disappeared was about a couple of old contributors that have not done itvin a while and what was the explanation behind it .., Chip C Quote
Brian Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Ah..yes. That one I removed. Not something that needs discussion..especially in an eBay section. People come and go..some can handle it, some can't. Next? Brian Quote
bmoore1322 Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Just imagine the amount of high quality swords that could be bought with the dollar amount that an Lear jet would cost. Brian Quote
sanjuro Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 Always assuming that one would know a high quality sword if one saw one of course! By the same token, if one had a Lear jet and could afford to run and service it, then the price of a high quality sword or two would not be a problem and you could go pick them up in person, regardless of location. Lindus Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Ah..yes. That one I removed. Not something that needs discussion..especially in an eBay section. People come and go..some can handle it, some can't. Next? Brian Not quite so paranoid then Quote
