Bungo Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 there's a big Akasaka tsuba collection coming out of nowhere and exhibited at the Chicago show ( just closed ), it took the generous exhibitor just 7 years to do that ( about 37)...................that's not counting his other famous single theme tsuba collection. He's kind enough to allow picture taking AND actual handlying of the tsuba. This make the show worthwhile and the fact that Mr. Bob Haynes ( now that's a person I am willing to address as sensei !! ) conducted an open end discussion on tsuba apprerciation really tops it !! p.s. may be the Akasaka tsuba collection made it's debut at the Tampa show this year already......i don't know since I wasn't there. If the censor doesn't mind............. I have all the pics and i can upload them onto the message board ( I asked the owner's permission and he said OK ).................. milt the ronin Quote

Brian Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Wow..I am jealous. Looks like a great collection. If you have other pics (and they are reasonably sized such as that one was) then by all means upload them for us all to drool over Will they only be for sale at the shows, or will there be pics and prices available online sometime? Regards, Brian Quote
Bungo Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 not for sale........ just show and tell. Here's another that kills you. milt the ronin Quote
Bungo Posted April 30, 2007 Author Report Posted April 30, 2007 I will post a few just to show the quality of the collection. Quite a few were from the sasano collection, juyo papers, illustrated etc. etc.......... One day they will all belong to that boy ( till he decides a Ferrari is more cool ).......... I am still sorting the pics out, Martin is very kind to offer to host the pics with one click access. Will do that after things calm a little.......... p.s. the 3 cranes............. yes, the very same one in the book. milt the ronin Quote
