  1. Would anyone seal a tsuba inside lucite as a permanent display piece? No oxidation and no maintenance.
  2. Petrified wood?
  3. I doubt your name is Louis Cyfer so please read the RULES regarding signing all posts with your real name.
  4. I have seen one in almost pristine condition by one seller. I almost bought it.
  5. It's hard to read this unless I flip my monitor over. If I turn my head, I'll look like an idiot.
  6. Thank you morita san.
  7. Again, I think the kao belongs to the person that attributed it and not from Sadamune.
  8. Is zeugmax your real name? If it's not, please sign your posts with your real name and not with your forum name. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6818
  9. Most likely sold by the seller daimyou54eb on Ebay. Lots of repros from that seller.
  10. It's an attribution by someone else to Sadamune. That's my opinion.
  11. I also have noticed that seller has been selling what I think are modern "reproductions".
  12. To me it looks like a cast copy of a Echizen tsuba. http://www.users.on.net/~coxm/9.%20tsuba%20iii.html
  13. It's only worth as much as someone else is willing to pay for it.
  14. Here's your chance to buy at least a couple of Juyo token swords. :D http://www.christies.com/LotFinder/sear ... edids=8919
  15. According to Hawleys, only the 1st gen signed exactly like this.
  16. Looks like steak knives.
  17. Isn't that where the kokuin normally goes if a blade has one at all?
  18. There was an episode of White Collar where one of the characters talked about having a Go sword worth over $100k. Although it was a brief mention, it was interesting that whoever wrote the script did at least some research into who were the big names in nihonto and their values.
  19. Need bigger pictures than the ones attached. Also better angled shots.
  20. That's what it looks like to me too. Probably need some better pictures to be sure.
  21. I looked in my mon book with over 4500 mons and it wasn't any of those.
  22. No. Every kanji has at least 2 readings. In this case, soshu is the correct one.
  23. Must be small books. :D
  24. If it is not a gimei, the tsuba was definitely never mounted. In any case, looks to be a purely decorative in nature.
