Hello again guys, thanks for the previos help with the nagatsugu blade, i recently bought another from Mike Yamaguchi and although will take a while to get here i thought i,d ask if someone could give me the full mei so i know which Kanetaka i,m looking for and are the smaller kanji above the mekugi ana are part of the mei?     Hello Guys, this is my resent purchase and altho there is opening on the mei side of the blade i think this is a very old sword, wakizashi and worth having in my collection, i think,, the mei reads Fujiwara Nagatsuga but i can find no information on him, so any help would be great, many thanks, Peter, Sorry guys, only 4 pics to put on and for some reason it won,t let me HELP

    to be honest john i think it has the hamon goes straight of the blade at the curve of the tip, how will this affect the value of the blade as it,s a known maker?

    THanks so much guys, it seems a good strong blade, few nicks, wakizashi in size with a showa stamp,no sign of a yokote tho, i,ll post a few more pics to get more of your thoughts, and i will take more pics of the way i bought it, many thanks again, Peter

    many thanks, i actually found that signiture earlier today after searching a few books, page 125 of military swords of Japan 1868-1945 by fuller and gregory, it,s actually on a pic of a tang, the only thing diff is the middle character on mine is diff from the 1 in the book, picked up a short sword 2day so will post that 1 later, peter
