Hi Henry, will be having a big " slap in the eye" (fry) in the morning, i sent my daughter in bournemouth a parcel of soda and potato bread which took a week to get there, she still enjoyed it so if you think for 1 minute the postal service could get it to you in that time , i,ll sort it for you, Peter -

Hello to all, i,ve been on the board a while now and can't praise it highly enough for the information and help in the past, but am hoping there are some members on from around Belfast Northern ireland, there aren't to many shows and such around this tiny part of the world to view other nihonto , many thanks, peter

hi guys, be nice, I think all the members on the board know if someone is interested in anything Japanese in the relm of the sword, ie from a sickle to a cup and i,ve even seen a doll here, the good people here will try their best to give them an answer and links if possible to help. in my novice and humble opinion is what makes this site so good, long may it continue, As for the advice seeking profiteers, well i,m sure as someone has already said the board will get to know who they are, i would to thank all the members for their help in the past 2 years for the help i have received , may 2011 bring you all the shiney nihonto, (and related items) you desire. Peter

Hello Guys Thank You all for looking, also big thanks to Mariusz and Christian, i did hear they where popular in victorian times but thought they had been brought to the west by travellers at that time, didn,t know they where mass produced, again if theres a market for it out come the fakes, they didn,t cost much so cheap lesson learned, gotta love the NMB for an education Peter

KIssaki as per TOMOYUKI thread. Polisher decides
peter replied to drbvac's topic in General Nihonto Related Discussion
Hi Brian, my blade maybe was not as straight forward as most, my polisher had informed me long before i got it back with a sortness in mono uchi area due to some sort of re heat issue some time in the distant past, so the hamon looses some of it,s power in that area, as for the yokote there wasn,t one visible, and the kassaki well that was so badly pitted i didn,t think much could be done in that area, in saying all this, also because of all this, he cut the price a lot from his original estimate, i have to say you are right about pictures being deceptive and i,m no photographer, i hope this clears things up a little, Peter -
Hi guys, Thanks for the input but i hope it was just my bad photo skills so took a few more for you look at, fingers crossed, Peter
-
Thanks Mark, i can see now why you like them i never thought the hamon or kassaki would come out so well as the kassaki was not looking so good and was badly pitted, the shirasaya just adds to the beauty and gets it out of the military mounts it was in, thanks again for your input on the Bungo Tomoyuki was very helpfull, as are all the gents on the Board, Peter
-
thanks Stephen, i,m well pleased the pics don,t do it justice, there should be before pics on the board somewhere, Peter
-

-
