    KANEMOTO?

okay, i am based in moscow, russia. vitaly sounds like a russian name to me. and he was selling the blade as Kanemoto on his website accompanied by this dodgy origami. another guy here is selling this blade for the price i mentioned earlier. im soooo curious what sort of price there originally was as im sick and tired of all those ppl trying to resell blades they bought for 5K for 15-20k locally. sorry if this is irrelevant :?

    KANEMOTO?

Hi all, i'd like to thank you very much for your help. you saved me some cash))). although, i do like the blade, i agree it's not worth the price. and dodgy origamis should be a warning sign from the very beginning too))) Vlad

    KANEMOTO?

George, thank you very much for this, you're absolutely right. i, in fact, initially posted the origami just to find out if the issuing organisation is trustworthy at all. i also mentioned that the very fact the blade doesn't have the "standard papers" (NBTHK/NTHK) seems a bit odd provided it attributes to "Mogoroku Kanemoto"... i may be paranoid, i know John, you've formulated this perfectly - it is a very very frustrating hobby indeed

    KANEMOTO?

Dear all, thank you thank you thank you much appreciated! well, i havent got the reverse side of the origami handy anyway. personally, i've got some good feeling about this blade :D but its kind of pricey... also, i can never understand why one would go and get this sort of a certificate rather than get an NBTHK/NTHK paper if the blade is worth it. i know i must be too naive

    KANEMOTO?

Dear all, i've been offered this blade (see attached pics) it really does look nice but comes with an obscure ceritficate (pics attached). the seller claims it to be KANEMOTO of MINO. i'm sort of doubtful. any advice|comments would be greatly appreciated cheers vlad
  12. Hi thanks for this. i just wanted to know what sort of ceritficate it is exactly as its one of the old NBTHK types. but i already got the info - its a tokubetsu kicho ninteisho
  13. Thank you very much gentlemen
  14. Dear all, i'm considering buying a daisho koshirae accompanied with the attached certificate. I suppose its the "old blue NBTHK paper" (Koshu Tokubetsu Kicho Ninteisho) type but since i have never seen one before any help would be appreciated greatly. thanks Vlad

  16. Domo Arigato Koichi San! i have another question then please - can this certificate be trusted? does it add a value to the item? also, the swordsmith mentioned - Takekuni Shimosaka - i've found him on Nihonto Club http://nihontoclub.com/smiths/TAK243 but being a novice i'm a bit confused by the rating systems - the 15 by Hawley and 2M by Toko Taikan - is it good or no so good? thank you
  17. Dear all, i am new to this board and i'd like to say its absolutley brilliant! :D having said that here's my question - i was offered a tachi with a certificate i had never came across previously. it was issued by an organization i have never heard of either. the seller wants some serious cash for his piece so i'd like to make sure what i get for the money. i am attaching scans of the envelope and a photocopy of the origami (it didnt fit into the scanner so i had to photocopy it) - the paper is blue. any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you
