Gentleman,
I wished to ask for your expert opinion while paying you back with some eye candy,
I Have found this Noshu Seki ju Kenemichi Sword for sale, unfortunately there are no tang photos to examine, the photos could be better and the blade itself seems to be obstructed by preserving oil, however it still looks impressive, I thought that many of you would enjoy taking a peek. The blade itself looks gendaito, but without taking a better look at the grain one can't evaluate it to its fullest.
The saya seems to have possibly been repainted, the blade looks genuine, with the trademark sanbonsugi -esc hamon of the smith being clearly visible.
I have found him in Sloughs book, he was rated at 2 million yen, he worked in the Mino tradition, was a teacher to his younger brother Kanenori and son Kanetoki.
I would love to hear your opinions :D
