  5. Newbie 1st post, I'm in need of some expert opinions and input regarding a gunto and a wakizashi I received as a payment for some work I did back in 1982 I never had it evaluated back then just happy to have it but now after over 40 years it looks like I need to sell them and some other items to make room for a smaller place. The gunto information that I know now is something I learned from this site in the past 3 month that this being a Takayama to and reading the article about Masakichi (Masayoshi ?) Takayama story and also because of it the gunto is sought after by militaria collectors, the wakizashi is a mumei and I don't have much information other than what I was told by another source a source that I contacted before I discovered you folks at NMB, "Katana is from WW2 with a civilian koshirae estimate; 800-1200, the wakizashi from Koto period and might be quite good but unpolish estimate; 500-700. I realize both items in rather rough shape like the gunto not in the original koshirae condition and the wakizashi with no mei, any thought or opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading my poor writing. Richard K
