I think you may be right about it being an island sword. I came across an interesting post regarding an island sword from the Philippines and he noted his handle was glued on as well.

Also blade measures about 29 inches. I’ll get a full measure including tang as well.

I keep thinking it’s a WW2 era blade but I’m no expert.

No scabbard and the handle he gave me was something that was just lying around so I didn’t include in the pics
