  1. Thank you, I appreciate the help.
  2. Thank you all for the replies. What makes you think the top middle is a gimei?
  3. I apologize, it was upside down. Unfortunately, those are the best photos I have available at the moment.
  4. I recently received an offer for these items, but the seller couldn’t provide any details about them. I'm hoping someone can assist in identifying the signatures and determining their dates. Additionally, what would be a reasonable price for each? Thank you for any help!
  5. Thanks for the reply, other thoughts were that this was an umegane attempt.
  6. Wow, thank you so much Ray!
  7. Signature is a bit hard to see, I am hoping someone here is able to read it. Let me know if you need any other pictures.
  8. Sugata is shinogi Zukuri, hard to capture in pictures.
  9. It’s there but very faint, the blade is very worn, still sharp but scratched and neglected.
  10. This tired sword was purchased locally at an estate sale for under $100, no information was known. It certainly looks genuine, although it may not be. It may have been signed at some point and if so why would the signature be removed? Is that long rectangle something else entirely? There are no other markings.
  11. Thank you, Jake!
  12. Thank you both for all the info. Bob’s thread is awesome! Only a few pages in, but wow. Thanks for taking the time to share!
  13. Thank you Colin for the reply, it is much appreciated. I am a new collector and have a ton to learn. I’ve been reading daily and have come a long way, but still have a long road ahead. The items gifted to me only included one kashira. I also received several menuki and one tsuba, I’ll attach those as well. Learning that there are a lot of fakes/copies out there makes it a bit difficult for a novice to identify authentic pieces. Again, thanks for the assistance.
  14. These were given to me as a gift so I have no information other than the items themselves. Would love to hear people’s thoughts on authenticity and possible time period. I’ve done a google image search without much luck, so any help would be appreciated. I do understand this is a difficult ask with only images. Thank you to those that take the time to respond!
  15. Ron, you sir are correct. The listing ended but it caught my eye for a second. Even with NBTHK should these listings be avoided?
  16. I'm trying to get some expert opinions of this sword, it's likely a knockoff but thought I could get some insight from the pros here. It's a nice looking Wakizashi, but seems too good to be true.
